Remember that time I was mining Crypto in 2017?

I was going through old pictures while prepping some items for future content, and I came across these grainy photos of my old mining rig from 2017 / 2018.

I built it on a budget (I have the numbers in my notes but I am too lazy to dig them out right now). It was running RX 580 and RX 570 cards.

It WAS profitable

I did make money overall and definitely paid off my hardware costs. In retrospect though had I held on to the crypto I would have made a ton more money.

At the time I was mining ETH, and they were going to move to proof of stake, which they did, so it was not going to last forever.

Live & learn?

Maybe some day I will look back and check how much I could have made had I held it and sold at a better time, but not today.

Back to the grind

This seemed more appealing than continuing to send my resume around, and it was.

But now I must go back to the land of the lost and send my resume around some more.
